More About ‘Cal’
Cal Stanutz has been actively involved in the Canadian entertainment industry for over 20 years. Starting in audio, he soon added tour management to his repertoire, more out of necessity than desire!
He spent the better part of the 90’s working with Toronto’s Moxy Fruvous, touring North America extensively, as well as several European stints.
When they went on hiatus in 2000, he went to work for an independent concert promoter and production managed several major Canadian tours with Terri Clark, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Ted Nugent.
In 2002, looking to plant some roots, he opted for a full time job with Canadian production supplier, Band World, handling show and tour logistics, festival production management and IT. Some of the festivals included Sarnia’s Bayfest, London’s Rock the Park and the City of Barrie New Year’s Eve Celebrations, working with some pretty diverse and talented artists, including Bryan Adams, Blue Rodeo, Sloan, Sammy Hagar and ZZ Top, to name but a few...
2008 saw Cal finally get certified by Stageline on the SL320 and SL100 mobile stages after several years of assisting on these hydraulic wonders.
